The over arching aim of The Pain Nurse Network is to promote not only the role of the specialist pain nurse but to also ensure that all people impacted by pain can access high quality care. The Pain Nurse Network works to ensure that people impacted by pain can access healthcare professionals that have the knowledge and skills in the assessment and management of pain.
The work of the network includes running events, webinars and endorsing national guidelines and best practice documents relating to all aspects of pain management. We have previously worked with The British Pain Society, Pain Physiotherapy Association and Royal College of Paramedics in the design and delivery of pain education events. We have also endorsed national documents developed by The British Pain Society, Royal College of Nursing and Faculty of Pain Medicine.
